Personality 'Zombie Boy' is a very unique individual, even among his peers at Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series. Despite being a former member of the Council of E-vil, and despite once only being able to speak Zombie, the diminutive young man nonetheless is one of the far more sane residents of the dressing room, and has a decidedly low tolerance for stupidity and weirdness. He often complains about the latest hijinks taking place, and will usually open a conversation with the instigators with a threat, preferably one involving internal organs becoming frightfully exterior. His usual commentary to Marik, the self-appointed leader of the Evil Council, is little more than disdain and insults. For all his evil and youth and sarcasm, Zombie Boy is a somewhat traditional individual, and while Bakura is married to several people, and in relationships with many others besides just Zombie Boy, he has little problem remaining monogamous with Bakura, preferring that on his end. He believes in actions speaking louder than words, so when the chips are down and something absolutely needs to be done, he will readily volunteer for the task, even if it poses some risk. While not a technical genius like Kaiba, Zombie Boy is quite intelligent, and exercises his knowledge, especially in the fields of literature and strategy. |
About No one knows the real first name of Ghost Kotsuzuka, and that suits him just fine. A minuscule individual despite his age, Kotsuzuka entered the Duelist Kingdom tournament as a henchman of Bandit Keith's, losing to Katsuya Jounouchi and losing any shot at the main prize. That's the officially known story. 'Zombie Boy's' story is little more complex and ends a lot less badly than one might think. He hides his real name deliberately, having joined the Duelist Kingdom tournament to win the prize money and propel himself to a much easier manner of living than he was accustomed to. He met Bandit Keith while there, and the thickheaded fool, unable to pronounce Ghost's surname, dubbed him 'Zombie Boy'. The name has, much to Ghost's chagrin, stuck. Bandit Keith offered an alliance with the boy, and Ghost, now known as Zombie Boy, had nothing better to do. A dropout from Zombie College (where he learned that he actually hates the taste of brains), Ghost was incapable of voicing his ire to Keith, being only capable of speaking 'Zombie' (the word brains repeated, with varying inflections, accent, and tone). Still, he faced Joey Wheeler the best he could, using his Undead deck to try and stomp the main character into the ground. However, Joey, as a main character, had the power of Deus Ex Machina, and despite having a field advantage and a tactically superior deck, Ghost lost. |
Allies Bakura [Abridged]: Lover, best friend, and fellow knife-enthusiast. There are many words Zombie Boy can use to describe Bakura, and those are but a few on the list. He felt he was straight until speaking to Bakura more, and though he still is physically attracted to women, his love for Bakura holds him to the human-formed spirit. Pharaoh Atem: Appointed official court executioner and musician, Zombie Boy remains faithful to the Pharaoh not out of loyalty or gratitude to the two positions (he never tries to use the nonexistent power of the titles anyway), but rather out of a fond desire to humor the ridiculous monarch. He respects that Bakura cares deeply about the Pharaoh, and continues to stand by their sides as a friend, but he holds no more respect for the Pharaoh as an actual ruler of anything than he does Marik. |
